Ginny Lambrix, our winemaker; really enjoys making this red blend from the Grist Vineyard on Bradford Mountain. She is able to take the best bits of each of the different varietals and blend them together producing a product that she likens to a gem like a ruby or sapphire. A gem of pure fruit that sits on the tongue that is not overwhelmed by the barrels that were selected for aging. 

Tasting Notes

Very dark red/purple color portends the robust aromas and flavors to follow. If you like BIG red blends, you're going to love this wine. A classic blend of Syrah, Zinfandel and Petite Sirah this wine is a monster. Dark Bing Cherry and toasty oak aromas and a steeping red fruit flavor. With the lingering, moderate tannin finish this wine will go great with Pizza Diavola (spicy!), grilled t-bone steak with a wild mushroom reduction sauce and sweet/spicy St. Louis  BBQ pork ribs.
