100% Dry Creek Valley single vineyard designate from a rare 1,000 foot elevation vineyard where wines were originally planted over 100 years ago. Mountain grown fruit typically makes intense and yet austere wines and this vintage does not disappoint.
The color is dark rub red and the wine shows classic Zinfandel characters of forward black pepper spice and brambly raspberry aromas and decadent ripe red fruit and toasted vanilla oak flavors. It finishes with moderate tannin and Cherry Coke flavors. Pair with robust and smoky BBQ brisket and beef ribs, rich and spicy pasta putinesque and other deeply flavored foods.
