In 2016 the Pinot Noir berries were so small, they looked like dark BBs. Consequently, the skin-to-juice ratio was high and the resulting wine is very concentrated.
This wine is a compelling mixture of spice, fruit, and floral notes. On the nose, pie spices, rose petal, and vanilla bean are accentuated by graham cracker. The palate is juicy and layered, featuring wet stone, plum, and anise. Finishes long, with notes of ripe blue fruit.
