When we see our people as the heart and soul of our winery we open up a huge space for them to contribute to its growth and development. Seeing people as valuable contributors from the get-go instills confidence and allows the full potential of each and every one of Truett Hurst’s team members to be fully expressed. From the vineyards, winemaking, and administration to the hospitality, gardening, and guest services staff, we hope to infuse our passion and love for winegrowing into every Club member and guest experience of our beautiful Estate, and in every communication we share. We challenge ourselves to act in ways that benefit those with whom we work, support the communities in which we do business, protect and sustain the environment, and provide an authentic and enlivening experience for all who visit.
Every person we have spoken to in our visits to the winery has gone out of their way to make us feel at home. Your staff really is the best.
My favorite thing about working at Truett Hurst is being able to drive through Dry Creek Valley on my way to work, being on our gorgeous property, and meeting people from all over. I used to be a 4-H’er and raised sheep for nine years!
My favorite Truett Hurst wine is the 2017 Estate Zinfandel because of its bold and rich flavors, and the reason I love working here is because of the wine, the guests, and the grounds. In addition to wine tasting, I like to recommend that our visitors be sure to see our beautiful Sonoma County beaches and check out all the great local restaurants.
My idea of heaven on earth is sitting down by Dry Creek in the red chairs. When I was little I wanted to be a winemaker like my dad! My favorite Truett Hurst wine is the 2016 Teldeschi Zinfandel because it’s a classic example of two companies coming together to create something special. Not to mention 2016 was a fantastic year in Dry Creek Valley!
My idea of relaxing is camping out at the coast and enjoying a bottle of Truett Hurst wine (of course!) around the campfire with family and friends. My first job was working with the Mendocino County Farm Advisors.
The thing I love most about Sonoma County is that there’s a little bit of everything so close to the country. Great wines all around, especially ours. Great restaurants, awesome food, outdoors, the beach nearby, and the snow a little further up the road. And Lake Sonoma! Love taking the family out there and enjoying a nice glass of wine, preferably our Luci Zin.
My favorite Truett Hurst wine is Southdown. It’s rich in flavor and very smooth. It also has a deep cherry note which I love. During my downtime I like to spend time with my grandkids.
My favorite thing about working at Truett Hurst is getting to know new people and sharing some great wine with them. During my downtime, I like to go out to eat and go hiking around Sonoma County. My favorite place to hike is Crane Creek Regional Park in Santa Rosa.
My favorite Truett Hurst wines are the Rooster and the Southdown, because I really enjoy the darker fruit flavors that are aged with notes of vanilla. My idea of heaven on earth is spending time at Sea Ranch where I read up on Quantum Physics and Space-Time, create delicious dinners with my family, and end the day with a trail hike or walk on the beach.
My favorite thing about working at Truett Hurst is interacting with the employees and customers. It feels like one big happy family. My favorite motto is: Happiness is a choice. Optimism is a choice. Whatever choice you make, makes you. Choose wisely.
I went to school and got degrees in political science and early childhood studies. When I was a little girl, I wanted to be a Supreme Court justice! My idea of heaven on earth is laying on the beach in Maui with a glass of bubbles.
While all the Truett Hurst wines are great, my favorite is the Osprey Cabernet. On my days off, I love to go hiking and be in the mountains. My first job was as a farmhand at a dairy.
My favorite thing about working at Truett Hurst is the goats! They kindly greet me every day when I walk by with their enthusiastic bleats, giving me an extra pep in my step. During my downtime I love to get outside and hike with my dog! Sonoma County has tons of hiking trails and parks for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels.
The thing I love most about living in Sonoma County is being part of this vibrant community. Working alongside talented people in the wine industry, I get to witness what I believe to be the perfect marriage of agriculture, art, science, community, and friendship. Over my time with Truett Hurst, both customers and colleagues alike have become dear friends with whom I’ve shared many wonderful memories.
