Under New Ownership

Legacy Truett Hurst is a marriage of passions for holistic farming and superior winemaking.

Founding members of Truett Hurst since 2007, Phil and Sylvia Hurst began their storied careers in the wine industry after attending UC Davis. Phil’s winemaking background eventually led  him to found the Winery Exchange back in 1999, and he has since continued his entrepreneurship with several additional ventures. Likewise, Sylvia’s passion for wine has endured in her current capacity as Winery Event Coordinator in addition to her involvement in projects, maintenance, and merchandising at Truett Hurst.

In 2024, the Hursts partnered with Ken and Diane Wilson of Wilson Artisan Wineries to bring the winery back to its family roots.

Pioneers in the Dry Creek Valley since the 1980s, vintner Ken Wilson and his wife, acclaimed Winemaker Diane Wilson began their journey by transforming a historic tin barn into Wilson Winery, the flagship location of Wilson Artisan Wineries, which today encompasses twelve boutique wineries and over 600 vineyard acres. The Wilsons are known for their hands-on approach and dedication to crafting premium wines.

Team The heart and soul of our winery

At Truett Hurst, we see our people as the heart and soul of everything we do. Whether in the vineyards, the cellar, the tasting room, or behind the scenes in administration, every role matters. We aim to infuse our passion for winemaking into every guest experience and every interaction we have, from Club communications to warm welcomes in the Tasting Barn. We continually challenge ourselves to act in ways that uplift our team, support our community, and deliver an experience that is both authentic and deeply memorable.

Our Team Behind the scenes.

Every person we have spoken to in our visits to the winery has gone out of their way to make us feel at home. Your staff really is the best.
